Klein</a> will serve as a panelist for the International Technology Law Association’s (“ITechLaw”) <a href="https://wtlc2026.itechlaw.org/">2026 World Technology Law Conference</a>, being held May 13 through 15, 2026, in Chicago, Illinois.

The ITechLaw 2026 World Technology Law Conference will deliver practical insights into the legal challenges shaping today’s digital economy. From artificial intelligence (“AI”) and data protection to global regulation and emerging tech, technology law leaders will come together to connect, exchange ideas, and help define the future of technology law.

The conference will include forward-looking discussions on the legal, regulatory, and business challenges created by rapid technological innovation. Through panels, interactive sessions, and networking opportunities, attendees will gain insights they can apply immediately in their practices and organizations.

Sharon’s session, “The AI Contract Workshop: Drafting and Negotiating AI Contracts,” will take place on Friday, May 15, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

AI contracts are the new frontier, and the clauses being negotiated today will define who bears the risk when AI goes wrong tomorrow. Working in small groups, session participants will step into a real negotiation, taking on the role of vendor counsel or customer counsel across realistic AI contracting scenarios drawn from current market practice. Liability caps that do not account for model drift. Data rights clauses that quietly hand over a client’s (or maybe a firm’s?) crown jewels. Transparency obligations nobody knows how to draft yet. Performance warranties for systems that learn, change, and occasionally hallucinate. Groups will negotiate, argue, and, if possible, find a deal. Then the room reconvenes to compare notes: who gave ground, who held firm, and what the market is actually doing across various jurisdictions.
