PBC Conference brings together the cannabis banking ecosystem, with a focus on payments, banking, and compliance (“PBC”). This conference was created for the private sector and the government to work together to solve PBC challenges in the cannabis industry. We strongly feel that these are the cornerstones with which the cannabis industry can explode in growth.

Scott’s session, “Receivership in Cannabis: Managing Distressed Operators in a Regulated Market,” will on Wednesday, September 9, from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m.

Receivership presents unique challenges in cannabis due to licensing requirements, regulatory oversight, and ongoing operational obligations. This panel will explore how receiverships are structured for cannabis operators, how regulators oversee continuity and compliance, and what stakeholders should understand about asset control, licensing, and wind-down or transition outcomes.
