Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that J Ross (“J”) Jurow has joined the firm’s New York office as an associate in the Matrimonial & Family Law practice group, which welcomed of counsel Jackielyn H. Abellada in March. J joins Blank Rome from a highly regarded boutique matrimonial firm.
J represents clients in complex family law matters, including high net worth divorce, custody and parenting disputes, spousal and child support issues, and related litigation. He regularly appears in New York State Supreme Courts and Family Courts and is known for his thoughtful, pragmatic, and strategic approach to resolving high-stakes conflicts, including zealous litigation when necessary.
J received his J.D., with honors, from Emory University School of law, and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Lafayette College. He is admitted to practice in New York. He previously served as an assistant law clerk to the Honorable Steven Z. Mostofsky in the New York State Supreme Court, Kings County, who sat in a Matrimonial Part. J was named a New York Metro “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers in 2025 and 2026.
