Carmella focuses her practice on maritime law and complex commercial litigation, representing both domestic and international clients in a wide range of civil and criminal matters. Her experience includes charter party disputes, as well as Limitation of Liability actions and other litigation arising from vessel casualties. Camella has also handed a broad array of investigations, government enforcement actions, and regulatory inquiries, including matters before the U.S. Department of Justice (“DOJ”), Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”). In addition to her litigation work, Carmella advises clients on U.S. economic sanctions, export controls, and anti-boycott regulations.

Admitted to practice in New York, Carmella received her J.D. from Boston College Law School, and her B.A.,&nbsp;cum laude, from the College of the Holy Cross. During law school, she served as a legal extern for the Administrative Law Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office and a legal intern for the Enterprise, Major, and Cyber Crimes Division.
