Compston</a> has joined the firm’s Pittsburgh office as an associate in the <a href="/services-and-industries/corporate/" id="18405">Corporate, M&amp;A, and Securities</a> group, which welcomed partner <a href="/people/stephen-c-koval/" id="18682">Stephen C. Koval</a> and associates <a href="/people/adam-p-haft/" id="18652">Adam P. Haft</a> and <a href="/people/paisley-s-park/" id="18638">Paisley S. Park</a> earlier this year. Tyler joins Blank Rome after working as a solo practitioner and independent landman.

Tyler provides strategic legal counsel to energy producers and private equity clients, and focuses his practice on mineral deed drafting, title curative work, and transactional documentation. He also negotiates and drafts surface use agreements and mineral leases, conducts extensive title research, and facilitates dispute resolution between construction firms and property owners.

Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, Tyler received his J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law, his LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center, and his B.S. from West Virginia University and Concord University. Tyler serves as a member of the Energy and Mineral Law Foundation board of trustees and as chairman of the Michael Late Benedum Chapter of the American Association of Professional Landmen Scholarship Committee.
