Blank Rome associate Bradford “Brady” C. Craig has been selected as one of the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association’s 2024 Best LGBTQ+ Lawyers Under 40. The notable award recognizes LGBTQ+ legal professionals under the age of 40 who have distinguished themselves in their field and have demonstrated a profound commitment to LGBTQ+ equality. Awardees will be recognized during a special awards lunch at the 2024 Lavender Law® Conference and Career Fair, which will be held August 7 through 9, 2024, in Washington, D.C.

At Blank Rome, Brady concentrates his practice on intellectual property and technology matters, including comprehensive domestic and international trademark counseling and portfolio management; prosecution of trademark and service mark applications and inter partes disputes before the United States Patent and Trademark Office; intellectual property licensing; copyright counseling; internet issues and domain name disputes; intellectual property and technology transactions, mergers, and acquisitions, including due diligence; and counseling on advertising matters. In recognition of his practice, Brady was named “One to Watch” by Best Lawyers in America® in 2024.

A pro bono champion and staunch advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, Brady was one of the inaugural members of Blank Rome’s pro bono name change team partnering with the Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund (“TLDEF”). Since then, approximately eight years ago, Brady has helped coordinate more than 100 legal name changes. Brady has also co-led several name change trainings, providing both substantive and procedural guidance and insight based on firsthand experience. Brady’s assistance to and steadfast advocacy on behalf of our nonbinary and transgender clients navigating the complexities of name changes have been invaluable and have had a profound impact on numerous lives.

As a vice chair of the firm’s BR Pride affinity group, Brady helps lead Blank Rome’s ongoing efforts to fostering and promoting diversity and inclusion in our workplace and the legal industry, which have earned the firm a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index for eight years in a row. Through a series of receptions, seminars, and networking events, BR Pride is committed to bringing together the firm’s attorneys, professional staff, and clients in an atmosphere of meaningful inclusion that supports the LGBTQ+ community, both locally and nationally. The group also participates in the National LGBTQ+ Bar’s Annual Lavender Law® Conference and Career Fair and partners with numerous organizations to provide pro bono aid and assistance to LGBTQ+ individuals and communities.
