R. Anthony Salgado

Tony Salgado has extensive experience in international business and maritime transactions, corporate governance, and finance matters. Tony assists clients in negotiating and structuring transactions under U.S. and foreign laws in maritime and non-maritime contexts, such as:

• Vessel secured financings
• Vessel lease financings
• Title XI loan guarantee financings
• Shipbuilding contracts
• Ship purchases and sales
• Bareboat charters, time charters and other vessel charters and management agreements
• Maritime bankruptcies and restructurings
• Coast Guard and Maritime Administration regulatory issues, including Jones Act citizenship issues, American Fisheries Act citizenship issues, and vessel foreign transfer approvals
• Corporate governance and structure issues for domestic and foreign companies, including the major offshore jurisdictions
• Project financing transactions for newbuild vessels
• Cross-border transactions

During law school, Tony was a senior editor on the Virginia Journal of International Law. After law school, he served as law clerk to the Honorable Randy J. Holland, Supreme Court of Delaware.
