Biography
Jeff Myers’ practice focuses on hospitality transactions involving hotels, resorts, restaurants, and mixed-use hospitality assets worldwide.
His clients include owners, developers, investors, and operators across the full lifecycle of hospitality projects, including acquisitions and dispositions, development, joint ventures, EB-5 and traditional financing, and operation and branding agreements.
A key focus of Jeff’s practice is negotiating management agreements for luxury and lifestyle hotels and destination resorts, together with franchise, branding, and licensing agreements and related operational arrangements, restaurant and celebrity chef agreements, and technical service and development agreements.
Jeff is known for pairing deep industry knowledge with practical, deal-driven judgment to help clients close complex hospitality transactions efficiently and on market.
Experience
- Represented a privately held holding and investment company in connection with the acquisition, financing and management of The New York EDITION by Marriott. The sale was the largest price per key transaction in 2025.
- Represented a prominent entrepreneur and controlling owner of a multi-industry enterprise in connection with the acquisition and financing of the Montage Laguna Beach. The sale was the highest-valued hotel sale in California history.
- Represented a global real estate investment firm in connection with the repositioning and management of the RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka, Japan.
- Represented a vertically integrated investment company in the negotiation of a series of agreements for the development, management, and licensing of an ultra-luxury resort and spa in the Papagayo Peninsula region of Costa Rica.
- Represented one of the largest hospitality real estate investment trusts (“REITs”) in the country from its inception through the acquisition, financing, and management of its initial portfolio of hotel assets valued over one billion dollars.
- Represented a diversified real estate investment and development firm in the acquisition, development, and repositioning of luxury micro-boutique hotels in Palm Springs, CA, Amado, AZ, and Laguna Beach, CA.
- Represented various owners of ultra-luxury hotels and resorts in connection with consulting, management, and licensing transactions with celebrity chefs.
- Represented a major institutional developer in connection with the negotiation of lease, joint venture, and management agreements for the ownership and operation of multiple food and beverage outlets with the world’s premiere chef and restaurateur for Hudson Yards New York.
- Represented a large, luxury resort complex in connection with the management and operating agreements for certain hotel and casino components of an approximately $2.6 billion mixed-use destination resort located in the Bahamas.
- Representing an investment company that manages and supervises a portfolio of businesses and projects for the Government of Dubai in connection with its joint venture with one of the world's leading hotel and gaming companies and the development of Las Vegas CityCenter, the largest privately-funded mixed-use development in U.S. history, including all casino- and gaming-related corporate structuring and licensing (domestic and international).
