She provides strategic counsel to companies, artists, and media organizations in matters involving copyright, trademark, data privacy, and contractual disputes. She regularly advises entertainment and technology clients on compliance with evolving data protection regulations, including issues related to the collection and use of personal information in digital media. Alycia is adept at efficiently reaching favorable results for her clients, either by negotiating settlements, participating in alternate dispute resolution under the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) and Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services (“JAMS”), or taking cases to trial. Alycia’s background in complex civil litigation is complemented by her deep involvement in the entertainment sector, where she previously served as the Director of the Women of Color Initiative Project, engaging closely with key figures and organizations across the entertainment, media, and technology sectors.Beyond her litigation practice, Alycia is deeply committed to providing pro bono representation to indigent clients, passionately advocating for clients from varied backgrounds, including asylum seekers and nonprofit organizations. Her pro bono endeavors have seen her skillfully navigate cases in immigration, intellectual property, and housing law, reflecting her broad legal acumen and dedication to social justice.Prior to joining the firm, Alycia honed her litigation skills at a prominent law firm, served as a litigation fellow at an eviction defense nonprofit in San Francisco, and worked as an attorney at a boutique entertainment law firm.During law school, Alycia served as the editor-in-chief of the Berkeley Journal of Criminal Law and as the senior articles editor of the Berkeley Journal of African American Law &amp; Policy. She also served as a summer associate at two full-service law firms.
