Temple University Beasley School of Law (“Temple Law”) won multiple awards at the Premiere Trial Competition that took place November 9 and 10, 2024, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, hosted by the Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Drexel University. The team was coached by Blank Rome litigation associate Timothy (“Timmy”) J. Miller and Jules Epstein, Temple Law Director of Advocacy Programs.
The Premiere Trial Competition is designed to create an opportunity to develop trial advocacy skills—and to foster collegiality and professionalism. Students from ten law schools competed in their first intermural competition and were judged by panels of coaches, which included accomplished professors, directors of advocacy programs, and practicing attorneys.
Timmy led the Temple Law team to a first-place win, and team members Madison Smith and Taylor Edwards each earned “Best Advocate” awards for their high-level performance. Timmy and Professor Epstein were also honored with the “Best Judge” award for providing the best feedback to students.
Timmy previously competed on Temple Law’s National Trial Team during law school and continues to coach Temple Law’s competitive trial teams. At Blank Rome, Timmy concentrates their practice on a wide range of general litigation matters.
