The panel will discuss the decision-making process that precedes the initiation of any receivership action or process, will cover the pros and cons of receivership as compared to other commonly available options, and will walk through the court filings necessary, and common mistakes that are made, at the initiation stage of a commercial receivership including complaints, motions, notices, bonding requirements, receiver oaths, receiver qualifications, funding, and critical first steps a receiver should take when the court appoints him or her.
