About the Program
This course will examine the distribution of assets and liabilities from start to finish for the practitioner whose primary practice is matrimonial and family law to the one who is new to this practice area. From the first meeting with the potential client through the execution of a Separation Agreement or Stipulation of Settlement or the start of trial, attendees will learn the steps a matrimonial and family lawyer should take to ensure complete and accurate disclosure. Discussion will include ways to identify assets and liabilities and ascertain their value, and the importance of identifying assets and liabilities in the early stages of the divorce.
