Brownstein were honored with Philadelphia VIP's Champion Award for Promoting Community Economic Development, recognizing volunteer attorneys who demonstrate exceptional commitment to providing pro bono legal services that support local small businesses and nonprofits.
Through his volunteer work with Philadelphia VIP, Cory Jacobs provides tax-related counsel to small businesses and nonprofit organizations, with a particular focus on helping nonprofits obtain and maintain 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. A partner in Blank Rome's Tax practice, Cory advises a broad range of individual and business taxpayers and is a frequent speaker and educator on corporate and partnership tax matters.
As a Philadelphia VIP volunteer, Jacob Brownstein assists small businesses and nonprofits with a variety of corporate and business-related legal issues. He has supported more than two dozen pro bono clients through legal clinics and extended representations. An associate in Blank Rome's Tax practice, Jacob concentrates his practice in business tax and general corporate law.
Cory and Jacob were recognized at Philadelphia VIP's 45th Anniversary Gala on September 26, 2026. Blank Rome was proud to serve as a sponsor of the event.
