Blank Rome is pleased to announce that partner <a href="/people/bridget-mayer-briggs/" type="poa_person" id="19169">Bridget Mayer Briggs</a> has been named the 2026 Eddie Ohlbaum Distinguished Advocate by the <a href="https://sccalaw.org/">Support Center for Child Advocates</a>. Bridget was honored as part of the organization’s “Where Advocacy Takes Root” spring benefit.

The Eddie Ohlbaum Distinguished Advocate Award recognizes leaders in child policy, governance, and trial advocacy who have made a meaningful impact in the lives of children. The award is named in honor of Eddie Ohlbaum, former Child Advocates board member and Temple University Beasley School of Law professor, whose career exemplified excellence in advocacy and commitment to justice.

The Support Center for Child Advocates works to protect and advance the rights of victims of child abuse and neglect, with the goal of securing safety, justice, well-being, and a permanent, nurturing environment for every child. Bridget has long supported the organization’s mission through her dedication to pro bono service and advocacy on behalf of children and families.

Bridget is a prior recipient of Blank Rome’s Edwin P. Rome Pro Bono Achievement Award, which honors outstanding commitment to pro bono legal work, and she was also named to the&nbsp;Philadelphia Business Journal’s&nbsp;Best of the Bar in the Pro Bono category.
