Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Rachel B. Gale has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C., office as an associate in the Labor & Employment group. Rachel’s addition reflects the ongoing growth of the practice group in 2025, following the earlier arrival of partners Allison N. Powers, Daniel J. Sobol, and Brandon S. Shemtob, of counsel David G. Rodriguez, and associates Raymond Arroyo, Michael G. Greenfield, and Derek E. Schultz. Rachel joins Blank Rome after serving as an Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Litigation Division at the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia.
Rachel represents employers in a wide range of labor and employment matters, drawing on her extensive litigation experience in both federal and state courts. She has experience defending the District of Columbia and its agencies in complex employment and constitutional cases involving Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, D.C. Human Rights Act, and whistleblower claims.
Admitted to practice in District of Columbia and California, Rachel received her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, and her B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of California, San Diego. While in law school, Rachel served as a student attorney for the GW Law Family Justice Litigation Clinic and as a legal intern for several nonprofit organizations.
