Blank Rome LLP is pleased to announce that Lachanda R. Reid has joined the firm’s Chicago office as an associate in the Business Litigation practice group. Lachanda’s arrival continues the strategic expansion of the Business Litigation group, which has now welcomed nine attorneys since the start of the year, including four partners, two of counsel, and three associates. Lachanda joins Blank Rome from Latham & Watkins LLP.
Lachanda Reid represents clients in a wide range of complex business and commercial disputes. Her experience spans class actions, product liability, environmental matters, antitrust, breach-of-contract claims, healthcare litigation, and cryptocurrency regulatory actions. She has worked on all phases of litigation, including early case assessment, discovery, depositions, and dispositive briefing.
Admitted to practice in Illinois, Lachanda received her J.D from Cornell Law School, and her B.A., cum laude, from Vanderbilt University. Lachanda previously served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Nelson S. Román for the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. While in law school, Lachanda was an executive editor of the Supreme Court Bulletin and an online editor for the Cornell Law Review.
