Andy and Cody’s session, “Balancing School Involvement and Athlete Autonomy in NIL,” will take place on Sunday, June 4, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., and they will be joined on the panel by David Frisbey, Senior Manager at Manatt, Phelps &amp; Phillips, LLP, and&nbsp;Damon Phillips, Senior Vice President at&nbsp;NBC Sports Group.

Name, image, or likeness (“NIL”) has been labeled as the “Wild West” because of the lack of uniform guidance and rules on how schools should approach their role in assisting student-athletes in maximizing their off-the-field opportunities. A panel of leading legal professionals will discuss how administrators and coaches can ensure that their employer’s best interests are protected regardless of what their state law says, or doesn't, when it comes to working with third-party entities who are engaging in transactions with their student-athletes.

The NIL Summit was created for a singular purpose: To Democratize College Athletics.
