TEI’s Midyear Conference addresses the policy, technology, and practical challenges shaping today’s corporate tax function in an election-year environment. Through keynote and plenary sessions featuring current and former Treasury leaders, attendees gain timely insights into tax policy developments, election-related considerations, and evolving Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) priorities, while engaging with peers navigating the same uncertainties. Sessions will cover critical federal, international, and SALT topics. New for 2026 are practical sessions focused on the technological transformation of the tax function, with TEI Tax Lab sessions offering hands-on experience with the growing use of artificial intelligence, automation, data visualization, and managed services across compliance and controversy.

Mitchell’s session, “SALT Audit Proofing: Essential Strategies for the In-House Team,” will take place on Monday, March 16, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., as part of the SALT educational track.
