Daniel Lurie focuses his practice on counseling clients in formations of joint venture lending and real estate investment platforms, as well as equity and “dirt” acquisitions and dispositions involving various asset classes, including retail, office, data center, residential, student housing, and senior living facilities.
Daniel also has experience counseling clients on mortgage and mezzanine financings, foreclosures and enforcement actions, equity structuring (including Sharia-compliant structuring), and cross-border investments.
Additionally, Daniel has managed the real estate aspects of significant M&A transactions, including acquisitions of multinational manufacturers and retailers, and has liaised with foreign legal teams, managed property diligence, and negotiated real estate provisions in share purchase agreements and merger agreements.
During law school, Daniel served on the staff of The Tax Lawyer legal journal at Georgetown University Law Center.
