Jeanne M. Grasso, partner at Blank Rome, and Conor T. Warde, of counsel at Blank Rome Solicitors in Hong Kong, will be presenting on "Whistleblowers, Coast Guard Investigators, and the U.S. Department of Justice: The Current Reality for Shipowners, Managers, Crewmembers, and P&I when Allegations of Illegal Discharges are Made in the USA" at the Hong Kong Shipowners Association Seminar on Thursday, March 8 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.  Coffee will be served at 3:30 p.m. for attendees.

Ms. Grasso and Mr. Warde will present and discuss on what happens from the moment an illegal discharge is reported or discovered to the U.S. Coast Guard through the entire investigation and prosecution process.  Attendees will learn about the risks (financial and otherwise) to owners, operators, and anyone connected with the vessel involved, as well as how best to proceed and protect themselves prior to any conflict.
