Atlantic Marine, a J.F. Lehman Portfolio Company, Acquires Boston Ship Repair
Blank Rome provided counsel to U.S. private equity firm J.F. Lehman & Company and Atlantic Marine Holding Company in J.F. Lehman’s purchase of Boston Ship Acquisition, the parent company of Boston Ship Repair, on December 28, 2008. Boston Ship Acquisition was purchased through Atlantic Marine Holding Company, which was acquired by J.F. Lehman in 2006.
Boston Ship Repair services mainly non-U.S. Navy and cruise vessels. The acquisition is expected to further diversify Atlantic Marine’s business by providing the company with access to a new regional market.
