Brett Ward concentrates his practice in all areas of matrimonial and family law, including divorce, paternity and custody matters.  Mr. Ward is experienced in negotiating prenuptial, separation and settlement agreements.  He has significant litigation and trial experience in New York’s Family and Supreme Courts.  Mr. Ward has also successfully appeared before the appellate courts.


Mr. Ward is co-chair of the New York County Lawyers’ Association, Young Lawyers’ Committee and serves on the Association’s Matrimonial Law and Family Court Committees.  He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section of the New York State Bar Association and the co-chair of the Lawyers’ For Children Committee. He is also co-chair of the New York Metro Area Brandeis Lawyers’ Committee.

Mr. Ward is also a neutral evaluator for the New York Supreme Court, donating hours to assist matrimonial litigants in resolving their cases without the need for trial.
