Merkel will serve as a speaker at the North American Marine Environment Protection Association’s (“NAMEPA”) 2023 Annual Conference and Awards Dinner, being held Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 1:00 to 9:30 p.m., in Bronx, New York. Blank Rome Maritime is pleased to be a sponsor of the event.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

As shipping wrestles with the pathway forward to meet the recently set MEPC 80 goals, the time to begin these conversations is now. This event is set to bring together industry experts, innovators, thought leaders, and students, providing a platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and recognition of outstanding achievements. The afternoon conference will be followed by NAMEPA’s Annual Marine Environment Protection Awards Dinner recognizing the achievements of industry leaders, companies, organizations, and government agencies in their efforts to Save Our Seas.

Dana’s session, “Ships and Fuels of the Future,” will take place from 2:15 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and she will present the segment on U.S. decarbonization efforts and offshore wind developments.
