Louise Marencik is a regulatory compliance attorney in Blank Rome’s Financial Institutions Litigation and Regulatory Compliance (“FILARC”) group.
Louise regularly advises financial institutions, nonbank lenders, and participants in the FinTech space on a variety of regulatory compliance matters, including issues arising under the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (“RESPA”), the Truth in Lending Act (“TILA”), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (“FDCPA”), the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (“ECOA”) and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (“GLBA”). Louise also advises clients on state and federal licensing and registration issues.
Additionally, Louise represents mortgage servicers and lenders in connection with title insurance claims and title curative matters and has also represented these clients in connection with mortgage loan repurchase disputes.
While in law school, Louise served as a research editor for the University of Pittsburgh Law Review. She is a member of the Order of the Coif.
Outside the Firm
Louise enjoys skiing, yoga and gluten-free baking. On the weekends, you can find her spending time with her family, exploring the city or relaxing at the beach.
