Supreme Court to Consider Validity of TCPA Exemption in New Case
Blank Rome Partner Ana Tagvoryan and Associate Harrison M. Brown authored the article, “Supreme Court to Consider Validity of TCPA Exemption in New Case” (Daily Journal, January 30, 2020).
In their article, Ana and Harrison discuss the Supreme Court’s recent January 10 decision to grant petition for writ of certiorari to review the Fourth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals decision on the constitutionality of an exemption to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (“TCPA”). The petition is one of three recent petitions on the exemption, and has the potential to reshape the TCPA as well as spur implications on government restrictions on speech.
