In Memoriam: Terrence Everett

Terrence Everett Headshot

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the untimely passing of our partner and friend Terrence Everett on the morning of Sunday, April 4, following complications from his battle with leukemia.

Terry came to Blank Rome on January 1, 2019, as a partner in our Corporate, M&A, and Securities group in Los Angeles, joining us from Carlsmith Ball LLP. He was a seasoned transactional lawyer, focusing his practice on a range of corporate and finance transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and securities, and real estate dealings. Prior to Blank Rome, Terry served as outside general counsel to various establishments that range from New York Stock Exchange companies to start up entities, often in connection with corporate structure and governance, acquisitions, operations, and financing. His clients spanned numerous industries, including retail, financial services, agriculture, entertainment, hospitality, and gaming, among others. In recognition of his professional accomplishments, he was listed AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, the directory’s highest level of distinction possible. He was a member of various bar associations, including the American Bar, Beverly Hills Bar, California State Bar, and Los Angeles County Bar. Terry earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School, cum laude, and his B.A. from the University of California, magna cum laude.

Terry is survived by his wife, Allison, to whom he has been married for almost 35 years; his sons, Drew (27) and Bret (30); and his two young grandchildren, Grace (3) and Alden (22 months).

Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time. Terry was a talented attorney, a trusted colleague, and a good friend to many of us. We are deeply grateful for having him join our Blank Rome family and community. He will be sorely missed.
