Biography
Victor J. Sandoval represents clients in state and federal courts on a variety of matters including contract actions, business torts, and statutory claims. A primary focus of Victor's practice is defending clients in the growing number of complex class actions arising under federal and state consumer protection and privacy laws, such as the federal Video Privacy Protection Act, the federal Children Online Privacy Protection Act, and the California Invasion of Privacy Act.
In addition to his general business litigation practice, Victor routinely advises consumer-facing businesses, including retailers, e-commerce companies, product manufacturers, and emerging technology companies in complex class action and mass action cases in federal and state courts throughout the country, as well as in arbitration and mediation fora. He also regularly provides guidance to clients facing complex legal issues and challenges and resolves such matters as quickly and inexpensively as possible.
As his name suggests, Victor loves to win cases. Nonetheless, Victor’s experience as both defense and plaintiff counsel for high-stakes claims allows him to serve not only as a formidable advocate in litigation, but also as an effective negotiator and consensus builder when swift action or settlement is preferred.
While in law school, Victor externed for the United States Department of Justice Antitrust Division’s Transportation, Energy, and Agriculture Section and Office of the Chief Legal Advisor. He was also a judicial intern for Chief Judge Beryl A. Howell of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, Judge Carol B.
