Toni S. Jordan


Toni Jordan represents financial institutions in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including: 

  • affordable housing transactions and those utilizing federal, state and local subsidy and incentive programs
  • credit enhancements for municipal mortgage bond financings
  • construction lending, including preparation and negotiation of construction loan documents on behalf of lenders and municipal participants
  • real estate lending, including interim, permanent and mezzanine loans for multi-state, multi-property transactions
  • sale and acquisition of whole loans and participation interests
  • originating loans for sale to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac
  • real estate acquisitions and dispositions
  • certain aspects of payment and performance bonds, letters of credit, construction contracts, property and liability insurance


  • Lender’s counsel in connection with $786 million aggregate financing consisting of 23 transactions, secured by 24 distinct student housing facilities located in 7 different states for sale to Fannie Mae (10 loans) and to Freddie Mac (13 loans). The financing was part of a much larger transaction valued at more than $12 billion, consisting of the acquisition of all outstanding shares of a publicly traded company, the largest owner, manager and developer of student housing properties in the United States. 
  • Lender’s counsel in connection with $375 million HDC/Freddie Mac Risk Share bond financing as part of NYCHA’s Permanent Affordability Commitment Together (PACT) initiative collateralized by multifamily residential housing developments comprised of 2,625 units located in Brooklyn, New York.
  • $100 million Freddie Mac portfolio financing consisting of 11 senior and subordinate loans secured by 7 different properties located in Michigan and previously financed by the Michigan State Housing Development Authority.
