Thomas J. Szymanski


Thomas J. Szymanski’s labor and employment practice ranges from proactive counseling to litigation in federal and state courts and administrative agencies. Tom’s experience includes:

  • defending nationwide and single plaintiff wage-and-hour claims
  • defending discrimination, retaliation, and hostile work environment claims
  • complex restrictive covenant and breach of contract litigation
  • employment due diligence counseling for mergers and acquisitions

Before joining Blank Rome, Tom served as a law clerk to the Honorable Timothy J. Savage of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the Honorable Anthony J. Parrillo of the New Jersey Superior Court, Presiding Judge in the Appellate Division.

During law school, Tom served on the executive board of the Rutgers Journal of Law and Public Policy, and was a member of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court. He received the Rutgers University Human Dignity Award and the Rutgers University School of Law Pro Bono Award for significant service.

Tom is fluent in Polish.
