Biography
Sophie Jacobi-Parisi concentrates her practice in all areas of matrimonial and family law in New York and Connecticut.
Sophie negotiates prenuptial, separation, and settlement agreements, and has litigation and trial experience in New York and Connecticut Courts.
In addition to previously serving as a partner at a boutique matrimonial law firm and a full-service law firm, Sophie started her career as a staff attorney with the Legal Aid Society, Juvenile Rights Practice, where she represented children in legal proceedings in the Bronx Family Court.
Sophie is frequently called upon to serve as a guest speaker on matrimonial and family law issues for legal organizations, bar associations, and on podcasts.

Sophie serves as a co-chair and executive committee member of the New York State Bar Association (“NYSBA”), Family Law Section. She previously served as a member of the NYSBA Continuing Legal Education Committee (2014–2016) and Annual Meeting and Summer Meeting Continuing Legal Education Committee (2014–2016), and as co-chair of the New York Women’s Bar Association, Family Law and Matrimonial Committee (2008–2010). She also served as a member of the New York City Bar Association, Matrimonial Law Committee (2011–2013).
In addition, she previously served as a member of the board of directors for the Promise Project, a nonprofit organization associated with Columbia University that supports and works with underserved children with learning disabilities.
