Robyn Michaelson is an associate in Blank Rome’s policyholder-only insurance recovery practice. Robyn litigates on behalf of corporate policyholders to preserve and maximize the value of their insurance assets, and has helped clients obtain millions of dollars in insurance recoveries. She assists policyholders from preemptive analysis of coverage for potential risks through dispute resolution, litigation, and appeals.
Robyn’s clients have included chemical and other manufacturers, religious organizations, food and beverage companies, and individual directors and officers.
She successfully presented an oral argument to New York’s Environmental Control Board on behalf of a client, and secured a complete dismissal of the 19 charges of alleged violations against the client.
Previously, Robyn interned with various state and federal courts and prosecutors’ offices. From 2006 to 2007, and again during summer 2012, Robyn interned with Judge Patty Shwartz, then Magistrate Judge in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey (now of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit).
During law school, Robyn served on the executive board of the Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy Center where she competed in national mock trial competitions. She also served as an associate editor of the Fordham International Law Journal and volunteered with WomensLaw.org, a project of the National Network to End Domestic Violence.
