Riley Bauer


Riley Bauer concentrates his practice on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate and regulatory matters. He also advises clients on compliance with the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act.

During law school, Riley served as an articles editor and staff writer for the Villanova Law Review, served as the president of the Villanova Tax Law Society, and participated in the Villanova Federal Tax Clinic. During this time, he also authored “‘Works for Me’: What's Next for Pennsylvania Corporate Tax Liabilities After Nextel Communications of the Mid-Atlantic v. Commonwealth,” 63 Vill. L. Rev. 477 (2018). He is a member of the Order of the Coif.

Outside the Firm

In his spare time, Riley enjoys books, music, and movies. He previously organized and performed a six-city tour as a solo musical act.

Professional Activities

Riley regularly performs pro bono work with the SeniorLAW Center (“SLC”) and Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (“PVLA”). His work with SLC involves drafting wills, living wills, and healthcare and financial powers of attorney for local senior citizens. His work with PVLA involves providing legal advice to local individuals and businesses involved in the arts.

Riley previously served as a volunteer and coordinator for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance ("VITA") program at a site in the Greater Philadelphia area. Through VITA, he assisted low-income individuals and families with the preparation of their tax returns. During law school, he received the Dorothy Day Pro Bono Award for his dedication to pro bono service.
