Nicole Bartz Metral is an experienced litigator focusing on complex consumer and commercial cases in both state and federal courts. She has specific and significant experience litigating class actions, privacy, false advertising, breach of contract, partnership disputes, unfair competition, marketing claims, business torts, and other various claims brought under state and federal consumer statutes. Nicole also concentrates her practice on gaming regulatory matters helping clients in the casino, sports betting, fantasy sports, and online casino industry.
Nicole has experience in commercial real estate, representing property owners, landlords, tenants, borrowers, and property managers in various litigation matters. She has represented leading real estate developers and home builders in claims arising out of the Right to Repair Act and all aspects of construction defect litigation. She has counseled clients on various risk management issues, including contract formation, insurance coverage, claim management, and dispute resolution.
During law school, Nicole served as the comments editor of the Santa Clara Computer & High Technology Law Journal, was the founder and president of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, and received an award for being the outstanding graduate of her class. She also received a High Technology Law Certificate, with honors, and a specialization in Intellectual Property.
Nicole completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan where she earned a B.A. in Sport Management and was captain of the University of Michigan Dance Team.
