Munira Jesani focuses her practice on patent, trademark, and copyright litigation, as well as IP licensing and trademark prosecution.
With respect to her patent litigation practice, Munira has been a critical member of multiple litigation teams that have achieved favorable settlements. She has experience on all stages of litigation, from the filing of the Complaint, handling discovery, summary judgment briefing, and negotiating settlements. Munira was heavily involved in the pre-trial preparations and post-trial briefings for two federal jury trials. Her technology experience includes software, mechanical technologies and pharmaceuticals, including representation of generic drug companies in Hatch-Waxman cases.
Munira advises on all stages of domestic and international trademark prosecution, including search and clear opinions, filing trademark applications, and maintaining trademark registrations.
During law school, Munira served as an articles editor of the Houston Journal of International Law, a public interest fellow at the Tahirih Justice Center, and a judicial intern to the Honorable Judge Lynn N. Hughes of the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of Texas. Additionally, she received an IP Scholarship from Houston Intellectual Property Law Association.
Munira is fluent in Hindi, and conversational in Spanish.
