Mitesh Patel

Biography

Mitesh Patel advises real estate owners and developers in nationwide acquisitions and sales, financing, and leasing of multifamily properties, commercial complexes and shopping centers, and single-tenant retail buildings. He also regularly represents private lenders that provide secured financing for a broad spectrum of real estate projects.

While in law school, Mitesh was an associate editor for the Fordham Law Moot Court Board. He also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Marcy S. Friedman of the New York State Supreme Court, Commercial Division, andas president of the South Asian Law Students Association.

Experience

Recent representative matters include:

  • An investment bank loan originator, in an approximately $197 million securitized mortgage loan to finance the construction of an office, warehouse, and R&D campus, net leased upon completion to a large-cap company.
  • A private equity fund, in its acquisition of a multifamily property valued at approximately $30 million and located in Colorado.
  • A private equity fund, in its sale of an office building valued at approximately $60 million and located in Georgia.
  • The landlord or the tenant in a variety of commercial lease transactions for office space.

Mitesh is an active committee member and mentor at Visions and Pathways (formerly known as the Somerset Home for Temporarily Displaced Children), a non-profit corporation dedicated to providing abused, neglected, and homeless youth with housing, a stable environment, and supportive services that guide them in becoming self-sufficient.
