Michael S. Marcus focuses his practice on infringement, validity, and right to use opinions in the chemical and industrial bioscience technologies to assist clients with launching and sustaining new or existing products and processes. Michael also counsels clients on all aspects of IP strategy, including patent prosecution matters with an emphasis on reexamination and reissue.
Prior to joining private legal practice, he was a legal adviser with the Office of the Assistant Commissioner for Patents, focusing on reexamination and petition procedures, and a primary examiner in the chemical and biotechnology groups of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for more than 15 years.
