Lauren A. Scarantino

Biography

Lauren Scarantino focuses her practice on commercial real estate finance, representing investment and commercial banks, real estate investment trusts, private equity funds, insurance companies, and other financial institutions in the structuring and origination of commercial mortgage loans secured by various types of real estate (including hotels, office and retail properties, shopping centers, multi-family residential properties, and vacant land), mezzanine loans, and warehouse loan facilities (including master repurchase facilities and credit facilities).

In addition to representing financial institutions, Lauren has also represented real estate developers in the acquisition and financing of commercial properties including hotels, golf resorts, office buildings, shopping malls, retail stores, and multi-family apartments.

Lauren also focuses on loan syndication, acquisition and disposition of mortgage and mezzanine loans, A/B notes, participation interests and mortgage-backed securities, acquisition and disposition of commercial properties, formation of real estate joint ventures and partnerships, debt restructurings, loan modifications, and workouts.

During law school, Lauren was a member of the Hofstra Law Review.
