For more than 15 years, Kate Tavella has focused on developing and implementing strategic communications initiatives at Blank Rome.

In her role as Chief Communications Officer, Kate leads a team focused on internal and external communications, branding, content development, and marketing technology across all the firm’s offices and practices. She works with the firm's leadership team, attorneys, pro bono and diversity committees, and administrative departments on corporate communications, media relations, thought leadership, social media, messaging, and special events and projects that support and promote the firm’s strategic vision and culture.

Prior to joining Blank Rome, Kate led media relations efforts for several clinical and research departments at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. She previously worked at a healthcare communications agency, partnering with leading pharmaceutical companies on national public relations and patient advocacy campaigns.

In 2023, Kate was named a Top Woman in Communications by Ragan Communications.
