Biography

Jill Misener represents high-net-worth individuals and entities before federal, state, and local taxing authorities in controversy resolution matters, including:

  • examinations
  • administrative appeals
  • voluntary disclosures
  • collections matters

She has significant experience advising and representing taxpayers residing outside the United States with U.S. tax issues, and guiding clients with non-compliant foreign assets through the IRS’s various offshore voluntary disclosure programs.

In addition, Jill has significant experience working with state and local tax issues. She has represented numerous clients in New York State and City residency examinations, including matters before the Division of Tax Appeals.

Jill frequently writes for leading publications and speaks at industry events on tax matters and strategies.
