Jennifer Patt

Biography

Jennifer Patt is an associate in Blank Rome’s Investment Management group. She represents registered investment companies, independent boards of directors/trustees of registered investment companies and business development companies, and investment advisers on a wide range of regulatory, compliance, and corporate governance matters under the federal securities law, including:

  • registration, regulation, and corporate governance of investment companies, including open-end funds, closed-end funds, exchange traded funds, and business development companies, as well as investment advisers
  • best practices and duties of independent directors/trustees of investment companies and business development companies 
  • preparation of SEC filings, exemptive applications, and examination responses 

Jennifer also assists in the preparation of the quarterly issuance of Blank Rome’s Fund and Investment Management Regulatory Update and Recent SEC Actions publication.

Prior to joining Blank Rome, Jennifer represented individual clients on purchase and sale of residential property and residential leasing as well as leading commercial banks in all aspects of securing real property collateral in large financing transactions.

Jennifer also maintains an active pro bono practice. She has worked with Sanctuary for Families’ Domestic Violence Courtroom Advocates Program and Uncontested Divorce Project as well as with The Door’s Special Immigrant Juvenile Status Project and Educational Workshop on Juvenile Rights.
