Biography
Jacob Kearney concentrates his practice on insurance recovery and complex commercial litigation. He represents companies and individuals in a wide variety of disputes, including breach of contract, defamation, tax and environmental matters, restructuring proceedings, and white collar investigations.
Prior to joining Blank Rome, Jacob was a litigation associate at a New York-based international law firm. He also held positions as a legal intern for the Montgomery County Office of the Inspector General and the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform; law clerk for the Appellate Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Columbia; and student attorney for the Affordable Housing Transactions Clinic.
During law school, Jacob served as the managing editor of the Georgetown Immigration Law Journal and alumni initiatives director of the Georgetown Law Student Bar Association.

Affiliations
Jacob maintains an active pro bono practice. He is currently working on two pro bono matters—an individual’s application for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status and a divorce.
