Biography

Heidi Crikelair concentrates her practice on complex commercial and securities litigation across a range of industries. She represents public and privately held companies and their directors and officers in the financial services, pharmaceutical, and other industry sectors.
Heidi is experienced with all aspects of litigation and has extensive bench and jury trial experience. She also has federal and state court and arbitration experience involving the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the American Arbitration Association. Heidi’s experience at Blank Rome includes the following:

  • Achieving a unanimous defense verdict in the first Philadelphia talc products liability trial for Johnson & Johnson.
  • Litigating class actions, including claims involving alleged violations of the Copyright Act.
  • Counseling clients regarding difficult employment issues, including enforcement of non-compete agreements.
  • Representing and counseling individual clients in complex intra-family disputes, including disputes related to real property and trusts.

Prior to joining Blank Rome, Heidi was an associate at a multidisciplinary law firm in New York. While there, she was a key member of a trial team representing an interdealer broker following a global raid on the client’s business. A four-month jury trial in New Jersey State Court (Hudson County) involving alleged violations of New Jersey’s racketeering statutes, unfair competition, misappropriation of trade secrets and confidential information, and tortious inference resulted in a $100-million settlement during jury deliberations.

Before attending law school, Heidi interned at the White House in the Office of Strategic Initiatives. During law school, she interned for the District Attorney’s Office for Monroe County where she assisted on a first-degree murder trial.

Heidi is an active member of Blank Rome’s Pro Bono committee and received a Pro Bono Hero Award for her work with Philadelphia VIP on behalf of families facing eviction in Philadelphia County. Currently, she is leading a team of associates in assisting an Afghan refugee seeking asylum in the United States.
