Biography
Fiona Steele concentrates her practice on complex commercial litigation and internal investigations. She has experience litigating a wide range of disputes in federal courts, state courts, and administrative proceedings, as well as in arbitration and mediation, including:
- Claims for breach of contract, fraud, and business torts
- Products liability
- Multidistrict litigation and mass tort litigation
- White collar defense and investigations
- Non-competition, non-solicitation, and misappropriation of trade secret enforcement and defense
Fiona began her legal career as a federal law clerk to the late Honorable Edward G. Smith of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining Blank Rome, Fiona served as an associate at a Philadelphia-based law firm representing clients in complex commercial litigation and investigations in the areas of multidistrict litigation, cryptocurrency, white collar defense, bankruptcy, Title IX, and employment.
While in law school, Fiona served as an articles editor for the Villanova Law Review and a teaching assistant for Civil Procedure, Property, and Legal Writing. She also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Joel H. Slomsky of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. In addition, she worked as a legal extern at both the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the Office of Disciplinary Counsel of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
Outside the Firm
Fiona currently holds five lacrosse program individual records at her alma mater, Bryn Mawr College. In her free time, Fiona enjoys hiking in her home state of Vermont, skiing, and Philadelphia sports.
