Emily K. Borman

Biography

Emily Borman concentrates her practice on California labor and employment litigation, where she represents management in a variety of actions involving:

  • discrimination
  • harassment
  • retaliation
  • wrongful termination
  • federal and California wage and hour issues
  • misclassification

In addition, Emily plays an advisory role to California employers and helps them navigate the state’s ever-changing labor and employment laws. She counsels clients on compliance strategies to enable them to take a proactive approach to avoiding future litigation. 

Aside from her experience in employment law, Emily has a broad range of civil litigation experience, including courtroom experience in matters related to breach of contract, trade-secret liability, and false-advertising litigation.

Prior to joining Blank Rome, Emily gained extensive labor and employment experience as an associate at a boutique law firm focused on California labor, employment, and general business litigation.

Outside the Firm

Emily enjoys traveling, equestrian sports, and putting her college volleyball skills to use on the beach.

Professional Activities

During law school, Emily served as a pro bono legal counselor for GI Rights Hotline, an organization focused on military discharges and counseling.
