Edwin L. Edwards Jr.


Edwin ("Eddie") focuses his practice on general corporate and securities law, assisting his clients with the formation of corporate entities and counseling them in corporate governance issues. Eddie has assisted many of his clients in the purchase and sale of their business, as well as the growth and expansion of those businesses. His experience as a business owner prior to the practice of law has been invaluable to his clients.

Eddie also has unique experience in the sports industry, primarily advising players from the National Football League ("NFL") with contract negotiations, litigation, and client counseling. In addition to his work with the NFL, Eddie has represented athletes and management companies in other sports as well as served as legal counsel for various leading entertainment companies, negotiating facilities agreements, engagement and contract negotiations, and licenses, to name a few.

Prior to practicing law, Eddie served as the vice president of a holding company for eight television stations in major markets spanning the United States, during which time he negotiated television and movie agreements with some of the nation’s largest networks.

Professional Activities

Eddie serves on the board of directors for the First National Bank Community Board, the Pittsburgh Film Office, and Project Eviive, on which he serves as co-chair of the board. He also serves on the Ball Committee for Orange Arrow, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to coach young student athletes to aim for success off the field.

Additionally, he is a former member of the board of directors for the Port Authority of Allegheny County and a former member of the Hearing Committee for the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
