Daniel V. Funaro

Biography

Dan Funaro works alongside and advises financial institutions and other financial product and service providers in navigating a complex array of state and federal laws and regulations.

Dan has assisted both consumer and commercial financial service providers in complying with state licensing regimes, state and federal disclosure requirements, and state and federal UDAP/UDAAP provisions.

Additionally, Dan has notable experience drafting contracts between financial institutions and commercial partners, performing regulatory due diligence for M&A transactions, writing consumer and merchant terms for Buy Now, Pay Later (“BNPL”) providers, and helping lenders comply with fair lending obligations.

Dan is a member of Blank Rome’s firmwide affinity groups BR MENA and BR Pride and, during law school, served on the American University Law Review.

Outside the Firm

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Dan is a die-hard Yankees fan and also enjoys Notre Dame football, movies, and Broadway musicals.
