Biography
Clifton Beech is an experienced commercial real estate attorney who advises clients on complex real estate transactions, with a particular focus on acquisitions, joint ventures, and preferred equity arrangements. He also represents investors and developers in a wide range of matters, including dispositions, financings, development deals, and mergers and acquisitions involving real estate assets and real estate-related businesses. Clifton structures private equity and joint venture deals to support acquisitions and investments.
Clifton’s experience spans various asset classes, including multifamily, commercial, industrial, data centers, and more.
During law school, Clifton served as an editor and reporter for the International Law Review Association.
Outside the Firm
Clifton enjoys restoring classic cars and playing tennis and golf.
Experience
- A developer in a partnership with an institutional investor in the development, financing, and equity raise for a 400 unit, 30 story luxury residential rental development in Dallas, Texas.
- A REIT in the sale of a multifamily portfolio consisting of over 10,000 units across 12 states for over $2 billion.
- A developer in the formation of a joint venture, acquisition of land, financing, and development of a $1 billion build-to-suit corporate headquarters property.
- A purchaser in the portfolio acquisition and financing of 14 health care facilities in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
- A real estate operator in the formation of a joint venture and subsequent acquisition of a $175 million hotel portfolio.
- A joint venture in the development, leasing, and sale of a $150 million data center.
- A real estate investment group as the developer in the acquisition of a site for a build-to-suit lease of an approximately 300,000 square foot industrial building at an international airport.
