Carly E. Wheaton

Biography

Carly E. Wheaton represents clients in all aspects of matrimonial and family law, including:

  • Custody and visitation disputes
  • Child support matters
  • Marital and prenuptial agreements
  • Divorce proceedings
  • Distribution of property

Carly is actively involved in all stages of litigation and dispute resolution. She prepares and participates in trials, mediations, depositions, and settlement conferences. Her experience includes preparing witnesses, drafting examination questions, and writing opening statements, closing arguments, and pre-and post-trial briefs.

Prior to joining the firm, Carly served as a matrimonial and family law associate at a litigation firm.

While in law school, Carly served as a matrimonial legal intern at a full-service firm, a matrimonial legal extern at a New York City-based matrimonial and family law firm, and a judicial intern to the Honorable Matthew F. Cooper for the New York County Supreme Court. She also served as a student mediator at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law In-House Divorce Mediation Clinic and a volunteer for a pro bono service provider for survivors of gender violence.
