Biography
Beth Friel serves as Blank Rome’s Chief Human Resources Officer. In this role, she leads the firm’s HR operations and strategies, including staff recruiting and professional development, employee relations, payroll, and benefits, with a notable focus on talent acquisition, leadership, employee engagement, and performance and compensation management for the firm’s administrative professionals.
Beth joined Blank Rome in 2018 as a member of the Labor & Employment practice group, and in 2020, she joined the firm’s HR team as Director of Human Resources.
Prior to joining Blank Rome, Beth served in senior HR leadership roles at Nelson Brown & Company, Cigna, and Harleysville Insurance. She also previously practiced employment law at Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads, and served as lead law clerk for The Hon. Bruce W. Kauffman, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Beth received her J.D., cum laude, from Temple University Beasley School of Law, where she served as the executive editor of the Temple Law Review, and her B.A. in American History from Franklin & Marshall College. She also holds a Professional in Human Resources Certification and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management. In recognition of her leading practice capabilities, Beth was honored as a “Rising Star in Employment Law” by Pennsylvania Super Lawyers.
