Barry N. Seidel brings more than 30 years of legal experience to bear representing both debtors and creditors in bankruptcy courts and boardrooms across the country, and has played a role in some of the largest and most complex Chapter 11 cases in U.S. history.
In the past few years, Barry has been retained by key stakeholders in leading corporate bankruptcies, as well as numerous other companies impacted both directly and indirectly by major corporate insolvencies. He regularly advises debtors undergoing reorganization, official and unofficial creditors’ committees, bankruptcy fiduciaries, and insurers facing potential bond exposure, as well as purchasers of distressed debt assets.
Barry also has substantial experience in workouts and Chapter 11 cases involving financially distressed healthcare providers. Early in his career, he helped represent many of the era’s largest Chapter 11 debtors, including a bankruptcy case that established the precedent for the orderly management of cross-border insolvency proceedings.
Beyond his bankruptcy work, Barry’s practice is also focused on general corporate and healthcare law.
